Boutique Breeder of Outstanding Standardbred Race Horses
|

Our mares and foals are kept at three of the finest breeding establishments in North
America: David Meirs and family's Concord Stud Farm in Cream Ridge, NJ; Chris Coyle's
Olive Branch Farm in Wingate, NC; and the legendary Walnut Hall, Ltd in Lexington, KY.
The owners and operators of these three prestigious farms have a combined 100 years of
experience in raising champion racehorses.
Birnam Wood Farms is also a proud shareholder in seven important stallions: Well Said,
Deweycheatumnhowe, Donato Hanover, Conway Hall, American Ideal, Tom Ridge, and
Yankee Cruiser.
We also breed to several other stallions including Art Major, Credit Winner, Rocknroll
Hanover, Majestic Son, and 2008 Horse of the Year, Somebeachsomewhere, among
others.
Seth Rosenfeld, principal of Birnam Wood Farms, has twenty-five years of experience as
a breeder, and brings a unique perspective to breeding standardbreds, combining his
expertise as a handicapper with his background as a student of pedigrees and bloodlines
learned from Hall of Famers Jim Harrision, who wrote the original edition of The Care and
Training of the Trotter and Pacer, and Seth's uncle, Alan Leavitt, breeder of countless
champions over the past fifty years.

Birnam Wood Farms is a
small, select breeding operation
focusing on high quality mares and
nationally and internationally
prominent stallions. Despite
producing only a few foals a year,
Birnam Wood Farms has produced
many important stakes winners,
including 2009 two-year-old
Champion Filly and Merrie
Annabelle winner Poof She's
Gone, recent world champion
Bettor Sweet, and Canadian
champions Ifhallscouldtalk,
IfIhadyourluck, and How Is That
Fair.
